Dear DigitalOcean Support Team, I am writing to report a serious issue with your billing and team creation system that has resulted in a loss of funds from my account. Today, I attempted to create a new team. Due to either a system lag or a lack of clear guidance on your platform, I ended up creating two separate teams with the same name. During this process, your system prompted me to add a payment method for each team, which I did via PayPal. Upon checking my PayPal statement, I noticed that I was charged twice: two separate payments of $5 each, totaling $10. Here is the current confusing situation that I need you to explain: I was charged $10 by DigitalOcean via PayPal. In my DigitalOcean account, I deleted one of the teams because it was a duplicate. However, I only have a $5 prepayment credit showing in my remaining account. This means $5 has completely disappeared. I paid for a service (the team creation fee), I deleted the service (the team), but the associated $5 payment was never returned to me as credit nor refunded to my PayPal. I do not understand your payment system logic. If creating a team requires a $5 prepayment, and I delete that team immediately without using any resources, why is the $5 not credited back to my main account or refunded? It feels like I have paid for a service that no longer exists. Request: Please conduct an internal investigation to locate my missing $5. I expect one of the following resolutions: The missing $5 to be added to my active account as prepaid credit, or A full refund of the duplicate $5 payment back to my PayPal account.
