It would be amazing to have Alpine Linux images that work well with DigitalOcean VMs, with support for IPv6 and Monitoring properly. The last feedback post on this topic was opened in 2018. Today Alpine Linux has become quite mature and stable, and is a great OS to deploy.

We should have the possibility to also downgrade droplets, not just upgrade. Sometimes we need a lot of power for some operations, but then we don't for some time, or maybe not at all anymore, so it would be nice to be able to downgrade a droplet, not just to upgrade it. The current solution is to create a new one with a smaller plan, but this means configuring, installing and doing all that stuff which takes time and is not portable.

I have had a great experience with Managed Databases and would like to know if Digital Ocean will be offering Managed Email services in the near future.I have read the Digital Ocean guide that essentially discourages you from creating and attempting to manage an email server, which is not easy task.I alone would switch 12 domains over almost imediately after it was available.This is the only thing that I still use my shared hosting for; custom domain email address.This could bring a lot of new users to the site which is a win for everyone.Thank you for taking the time to read.

Any plans to offer a SecretsManager as a service?

It would be nice to have a Managed Auth service. With the App Platform and Managed Databases Digital Ocean meets most of my needs for building platforms for my clients. We still depend heavily on 3rd Party Auth via Auth0, Ory... Not having Auth on D.O. also means my team starts asking about Supabase and Firebase which are all inclusive.

Please add support for logging in with passkeys (webauthn). This is far more secure and easier than using username/password and 2FA. Thanks!

Just reporting a known bug as advised by support (see ticket #7773799). The bug is that if a droplet is created with an older version of Ubuntu OS (or perhaps any OS) and then upgraded to a newer version, the older version is still listed in the droplet details on the browser dashboard.

On a managed db allow the ability to tag/label “My current computers IP address” and 3rd party IP addresses in the Trusted Sources list. Over time one forgets what IP is for what and presents a security risk. I can't tag these IPs as it's not a Digital Ocean resource. I can only tag the db and use that for other DO resources. AWS has this feature where the Trusted IP addresses are in a table where a custom label can be given alongside each one so you know where the IP address is from. I don't believe DO has this capability?
