transfer droplet ownership

i would like to be able to transfer a droplet as is (completely with IP address and RUNNING) from an account to another. this has nothing to do with droplet properties and it should be a simple change in database (for droplet_id change owner_id from user_X to user_Y or something like this).
from the interface point of view, it can be handled in a similar way with snapshot transfer, with one user offering and another user accepting the transfer
this is useful for billing purposes.

Transferring droplets via snapshots ( http://digitalocean.uservoice.com/forums/136585-digital-ocean/suggestions/4074426-transfer-droplets-between-users- ) is often a crapshoot due to capacity issues.
Would be nicer to be able to transfer ownership of a running droplet directly!

We need to split billing for some droplets and right now only way to do it is to shut down the server, take a snapshot of a droplet. Then recreate the droplet, transfer all the domains and mount all the volumes again. All this just to change the billing information and payment method.

It is extremely necessary to make it possible to transfer a droplet with its IP address (so that the IP address remains the same). The entire infrastructure is strictly tied to IP addresses.

To transfer ownership of a Digital Ocean Droplet, you can follow these steps:

This is simply crucial to be able to play around while developing and once going into production handing over the billing to the client. Given there are no longer only droplets but also Managed Databases, Spaces... it's a real hassle to move them to another team while it should not be that hard to implement to simply change ownership of a project.

Let's say droplets are used for business. It would be great to ensure that the business keeps on if for any reason the owner of the droplets could not manage them anymore. An authorized user on one-self's account could transfer droplets at any time to their accounts (also with same the IP address).
As a security measure, a mail with a link could be send to the original owner if he would want to have the droplet back within a certain period of time.

Currently, the only way of moving an existing droplet from an account or team, to another team is to take a snapshot and recreate the droplet under the team account, but this means an IP address change.
It would be awesome to allow owners to move a droplet from an account or team to another team in a simple and transparent way without IP changes.
