Thank you so much for reaching out to share this need! DigitalOcean now supports log forwarding for our managed databasess. You can read more about this here: https://www.digitalocean.com/blog/digitalocean-log-forwarding-for-managed-databases-and-app-platform Additionally, you may be interested in Managed OpenSearch which is a great choice for you to store, retain, search, and analyze the database logs. Here's more information about Managed OpenSearch: https://www.digitalocean.com/blog/introducing-managed-opensearch If you need any help with this, please reach out to our support team here: https://cloudsupport.digitalocean.com/s/ Again, thank you for making the time to share this with us.

Per the large votes here we just released OpenSearch with DBaaS log forwarding. Check out https://www.digitalocean.com/blog/introducing-managed-opensearch for more details. 🙂
Be great to hear folks' thoughts.

Antonio Rosales Thanks! However, was there a reason why the log forwarding destinations don't match what is already in place with App Platform? In there you have OpenSearch, PaperTrail, Datadog, and Better Stack (Logtail), but with DBaaS it just has OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, and Rsyslog. Were there plans to add those options later? We're using Better Stack right now, but it seems we'll have to try Managed OpenSearch in order to have a single log repository.
Antonio Rosales
Jon Capcik You should be able to log forward to any compatible OpenSearch end point. We try to make the DO Managed one more simpler.

Antonio Rosales Thanks. But are there any plans to unify the options for Log Forwarding, so for example, we can have Datadog or Better Stack as forwarding options from DBaaS?

Antonio Rosales This is great, but looks like it doesn't include pgbouncer logs for connection pools. Is it something that might also be addressed?

We’ll be exporting to Baselime when this feature exists.

It would be great to have such feature to be able to analyze e.g. activity history log. We had a use case for it recently, and we weren't able to investigate the issue because there were no logs that we could extract.

For ISO 27001 Certification we need these logs. Please provide

LogTail for me - just like App Platform...

Bring able to export database logs and metrics would also be useful to us so we can forward them to Datadog - we'd like to have all of our application stack monitoring in one place for easier debugging, and to be able to to take advantage of their rich database monitoring tooling https://docs.datadoghq.com/database_monitoring/

This would also be useful to us to forward to Datadog in order to monitor for query performance and database growth.
Kristian Theilgaard
This would be very valuable to us, as we would like to track transactions in logs across our ingress, application and database layers.
Our specific use would be extraction to elastic search, for usage in Kibana.
